  • It's amazing to me how important we "think" we are. Solomon had it right...Vanity of Vanities, EVERYTHING is vanity. I firmly believe that our only purpose in life is to help one another, what other reason are we here, but of that to learn and show what Love looks like. The truth is, we fall terribly short, and the reason is that we do not know how to show or even understand Godly love. This goes along with what Jesus tells us to enter in at the straight gate...it really is the only way to learn... more »
  • In time past I used to think the future was yet to come. That the events to unfold and take place would be so obvious to us all… like dipping our hands into hot or cold water. I have since come to find out that it isn’t so outstanding as I would have been led to believe. All these things, events that seem to unfold right before our eyes have a way of appearing as normal. The pace at which they take place are steady and to the untrained eye go unnoticed. Everything seems to just be the day to... more »
  • Well...it's been a few months, but like I promised in my last post, I would let you know how it worked out for us. Well, it was a very trying time for a little while there, but the Good Lord carried us through again. We ended up homeless, and I mean literally homeless. We were sleeping on a friends garage floor for awhile, we crashed on London's brother's couch for a bit. We had no money, no where to go, bad tags on our car...we were stuck. We were trying to find jobs and due to the circumstanc... more »
  • Oh… the Eternal. Eternal you say? Since we use it so liberally and without excuse or explanation; let’s explain it. As a Christian and a realist I’ve heard this word used more often than not with the word and the assumption of life together with it. Ahh, and then the I have eternal life and I’m going to “heaven” associated with it. Something has never added up though in the way it is used or explained. Let ‘s sort out what eternal is, but more importantly what it is TODAY and what ... more »
  • My wife and I were discussing this topic this morning and this word constrain fell upon our hearts… Here lies the beauty of it all! For the love of Christ controls (constrains, compels) us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised… It is God’s agape Love that compels man’s hearts and desires. For the child of God ... more »
  • If it were not for our God, where would most of us be? My wife and I have just gone through some of the most trying times we have experienced in life, but “thanks be to our God” who shall …. What is it exactly that we are to say. The most trying of circumstances will bring out the strangest of characteristics in you that you would not have otherwise known. It also brings out the colors and characteristics of those you think are close, and or those who long for and have longed to be close. ... more »
  • What is right? In the book: Behold A Pale Horse, there is a chapter about the "secret" plans of the "wise" men of the earth from the 1700's called The Protocols of The Wise Men of Zion. This is like a book within a book. And though, this book within a book is straight from the pit of hell. I will give God the Glory for: what they meant for evil, God meant for good; because I have learned about myself, about other people, about the world and about the Kingdom of Heaven from this one definition of... more »
  • This is a testimony to God's goodness and that His word is true. In the Fall of 2008 we bought some tulip bulbs. London, Denver and myself buried our tulips and went through the process of seed, time and harvest. In the Spring of 2009 our beautiful, bright yellow tulips ALL came up, except for the three the squirrel (or Jimmy) stole out of the ground. ? These are the tulips from Spring 2009 ? 2 days ago London & I were outside and noticed 1 of our tulip bulbs were out of the ground and ha... more »

May we never forget God's faithfulness towards us. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. Isaiah 59:16 I heard a sermon by A.W. Tozer and he said some profound things. Simple things, but profound. He was talking about Jesus and why He came. Let us not forget it was for you. His Birth And she shall bring forth a son, and though shalt call his name ... more »
  • If you do not know the Lord Jesus, let us help you understand who He is and why He came. In the beginning God made man in His image, man became fallen because of disobedience to God and from there, we were all doomed to be born as sinners. God sent His only Son, Jesus, so that He would pay the penalty of sin. The penalty of that sin is an eternal life separated from God, also known as Hell. Jesus not only took the penalty of all the world’s past, present and future sin onto Himself at... more »
  • Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of The Holy Spirit. - Acts 2:38 About 4 years ago I had a discussion with someone as to whether we still had to be water baptized or not? Was this a pagan ritual or is this necessary to our salvation? We agreed that it was not necessary and therefore, we were not "required" to be water baptized. One author says this about baptism: As it was... more »
  • It should be the goal of every Christian to walk in the fullness of God. However, so many Christians to day receive the Cross and never grow into resurrected life. The Cross offers us eternal life with a testimony to the power of Jesus making a real change in our lives from who we were to who we are now, but if we stop there, we bear the fruit of salvation and nothing more. Resurrected life is what comes to us as we continue to grow in the Lord. Jesus did die on the Cross, but He rose from the d... more »
  • Let's take a good look at what this REALLY means. If anyone has any experience with this, it would be myself. I am going through the toughest process of my life. God is forcing me to take a good look at myself and the things around me. Everything around me is changing and I am now forced to decide if I can trust God and go, or if I want to stay where it's comfortable for me. What I understand is that the Knowledge of Good & Evil is evil. It stands in opposition of God. God stands all on His... more »
