  • In time past I used to think the future was yet to come. That the events to unfold and take place would be so obvious to us all… like dipping our hands into hot or cold water. I have since come to find out that it isn’t so outstanding as I would have been led to believe. All these things, events that seem to unfold right before our eyes have a way of appearing as normal. The pace at which they take place are steady and to the untrained eye go unnoticed. Everything seems to just be the day to... more »
  • Oh… the Eternal. Eternal you say? Since we use it so liberally and without excuse or explanation; let’s explain it. As a Christian and a realist I’ve heard this word used more often than not with the word and the assumption of life together with it. Ahh, and then the I have eternal life and I’m going to “heaven” associated with it. Something has never added up though in the way it is used or explained. Let ‘s sort out what eternal is, but more importantly what it is TODAY and what ... more »
  • My wife and I were discussing this topic this morning and this word constrain fell upon our hearts… Here lies the beauty of it all! For the love of Christ controls (constrains, compels) us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised… It is God’s agape Love that compels man’s hearts and desires. For the child of God ... more »
  • If it were not for our God, where would most of us be? My wife and I have just gone through some of the most trying times we have experienced in life, but “thanks be to our God” who shall …. What is it exactly that we are to say. The most trying of circumstances will bring out the strangest of characteristics in you that you would not have otherwise known. It also brings out the colors and characteristics of those you think are close, and or those who long for and have longed to be close. ... more »
  • You know I was thinking. Faith without works is dead. I’ve heard it said so many times, But, today I think I heard! How do we differ from the world without our goodly works? I’ll Go ahead & add it up …. We have been lied to so many times. Does that “good faith really help anyone? Do we really call ourselves something and then never show it? Do we say something and then don’t bother, Do we get annoyed by it instead? Are we really caring for them, just to see if and whe... more »
  • Do the faith of some seem to get it done. I sit here and wonder, have they any signs, not that I may need them? The world does. The world was wrought by miracles and signs, thoughts and wonders, but too few have stopped to notice. What has happened to a generation? Electronics, computers, games, to name a few, a total collapse, loss to a society of people longing for their roots. Worldly visions, a new president, a saviour? I think not! More of the same, in a new and different name, but? Doe... more »
  • A Worldly Thought Sun is coming up, moon is getting low Beneath these two lights, my balcony begins to glow Dirt in the fields, the soft lawn asunder Both lying dormant after a long winter slumber What will I give birth to this year they say? Is it roses or cucumbers, corn, beans, or hay? As I gaze upon Your heavenly wonders The stars, the winds, the boisterous thunders God’s in control of all that is here Created it so for the world He holds dear It’s His seasons of Love filled... more »

  • My God just loves surprises Like when he captured me He fills my soul, He won’t let go From whom then shall I flee? I bow my head as I lay in bed Amazingly I’m free, I pray for this, He gives me that He longs to set me free I’m wide awake now Knowing for that He somehow Has gifts for me to share It’s time for you beloved I have answers to your prayer. What can I say to him this day to show him how I feel I don’t know now to show him how I guess it’s time to knee... more »
  • Glory bound but not for the faint in heart... Peering into the recesses of oneself, the word of the Lord. For wisdom, she’s known within the walls of the heart. To trudge the depth and riches renown. Oh the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord are born. I have learned to knock and have it open, for it shall be opened unto you. Being the scapegoat of sins you’ll realize, you’re not of the world, to have it paralyze. What will you do? Don’t cast your pearls to the swine. They will tramp... more »
  • I thought I’d take time to understand what it is in the bible and not concerning relying on doctors, as we all have or should. Even the word physician and it’s uses. There are arguments for and against doctors today, from surgeries to healings, education, advise, drugs, medications, benefits, costs, diagnosis, etc. etc. Luke, the writer of one of the gospels and the book of the acts of the apostles, the physician as stated by his ways to interpret the condition. Whether mental, spiritual, ... more »
  • A Stern Encouragement It is of the uttermost importance that a Born Again Church Of Christ remain as one with sincere servitude and thoughtful prayer for those who are in need. Shall we hide that which has been given under a bushel…. NO! Shall we take to a dark world a lamp with no oil… No. Do we have our wicks trimmed and ready? Oh, please. By the will of God we should, for our Lord and Master may come for us and find us unprepared, and dear Brothers and Sister may this not be with us. ... more »
