  • It's amazing to me how important we "think" we are. Solomon had it right...Vanity of Vanities, EVERYTHING is vanity. I firmly believe that our only purpose in life is to help one another, what other reason are we here, but of that to learn and show what Love looks like. The truth is, we fall terribly short, and the reason is that we do not know how to show or even understand Godly love. This goes along with what Jesus tells us to enter in at the straight gate...it really is the only way to learn... more »
  • Well...it's been a few months, but like I promised in my last post, I would let you know how it worked out for us. Well, it was a very trying time for a little while there, but the Good Lord carried us through again. We ended up homeless, and I mean literally homeless. We were sleeping on a friends garage floor for awhile, we crashed on London's brother's couch for a bit. We had no money, no where to go, bad tags on our car...we were stuck. We were trying to find jobs and due to the circumstanc... more »
  • What is right? In the book: Behold A Pale Horse, there is a chapter about the "secret" plans of the "wise" men of the earth from the 1700's called The Protocols of The Wise Men of Zion. This is like a book within a book. And though, this book within a book is straight from the pit of hell. I will give God the Glory for: what they meant for evil, God meant for good; because I have learned about myself, about other people, about the world and about the Kingdom of Heaven from this one definition of... more »
  • This is a testimony to God's goodness and that His word is true. In the Fall of 2008 we bought some tulip bulbs. London, Denver and myself buried our tulips and went through the process of seed, time and harvest. In the Spring of 2009 our beautiful, bright yellow tulips ALL came up, except for the three the squirrel (or Jimmy) stole out of the ground. ? These are the tulips from Spring 2009 ? 2 days ago London & I were outside and noticed 1 of our tulip bulbs were out of the ground and ha... more »

May we never forget God's faithfulness towards us. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. Isaiah 59:16 I heard a sermon by A.W. Tozer and he said some profound things. Simple things, but profound. He was talking about Jesus and why He came. Let us not forget it was for you. His Birth And she shall bring forth a son, and though shalt call his name ... more »
  • Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of The Holy Spirit. - Acts 2:38 About 4 years ago I had a discussion with someone as to whether we still had to be water baptized or not? Was this a pagan ritual or is this necessary to our salvation? We agreed that it was not necessary and therefore, we were not "required" to be water baptized. One author says this about baptism: As it was... more »
  • It should be the goal of every Christian to walk in the fullness of God. However, so many Christians to day receive the Cross and never grow into resurrected life. The Cross offers us eternal life with a testimony to the power of Jesus making a real change in our lives from who we were to who we are now, but if we stop there, we bear the fruit of salvation and nothing more. Resurrected life is what comes to us as we continue to grow in the Lord. Jesus did die on the Cross, but He rose from the d... more »
  • Let's take a good look at what this REALLY means. If anyone has any experience with this, it would be myself. I am going through the toughest process of my life. God is forcing me to take a good look at myself and the things around me. Everything around me is changing and I am now forced to decide if I can trust God and go, or if I want to stay where it's comfortable for me. What I understand is that the Knowledge of Good & Evil is evil. It stands in opposition of God. God stands all on His... more »
  • Unforgiveness and sin. Don't they go hand in hand? If we are to live our lives true to God's word, we should live our lives with neither unforgiveness, nor sin. Yet there are those that say they believe and still cannot forgive. We were given commandments by Jesus...to Love, and to Love. I don't remember Him delivering any other commandments to us. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is t... more »
  • Okay, maybe it is more important to tell you the transition I have just gone through. I only tell you because I believe God wants you to know and understand. I have seen London's faith over the years and wondered why I didn't have faith like his. I don't think anyone can deny his faith. I was struggling to understand and attain the kind of faith he has had, assured faith. Knowing his prayers don't hit the ceiling like I always feel that mine do, and always being assured of who his God is. I was ... more »
  • Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. - Psalm 16:18 These words ring loud and true. Pride has become the norm for our society, and we all suffer from it in one form or another. In small doses, pride isn't a bad thing. It helps build our confidence levels, when we show our school spirit, or when our boss gives us a nice pat on the back for a job well done. We even get a nice sense of pride when we've completed a household chore or when we've picked out that perfect... more »
  • One thing I don't understand, and maybe someone in the world could explain this to me. I don't understand people that go to church and still know nothing about Jesus. Isn't church the place you go to be edified, built up, fellowship together about the things pertaining to God? Just about everyone I work with sits in church on Sunday, and just about everyone I work with knows nothing, or cares nothing, for Jesus. Here's the irony...I don't go to church. It really makes no sense to me. If I talk... more »
  • Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4 God gives us the desires of our hearts...now does that mean all the material possessions we want, the things that are tangible or does that mean the actual desires? I kinda think it's both. We have typical human desires...we want stuff!!! We desire a new house, or a new car. We desire a husband, and then we desire children. We desire to go hiking, or pour ourselves into our latest and greatest ho... more »
