For You

June 18, 2010

May we never forget God’s faithfulness towards us.

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
Isaiah 59:16

I heard a sermon by A.W. Tozer and he said some profound things. Simple things, but profound.
He was talking about Jesus and why He came.

Let us not forget it was for you.

His Birth

And she shall bring forth a son, and though shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Matthew 1:21

His Death

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed
Isaiah 53:5

His Resurrection

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification
Romans 4:24
& 25

Intercession

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:34

My husband reminded me of how threatened I was by the “for you” statement while I was still a sinner. Being approached with…Did you know Jesus dies FOR YOU? How threatened I was by that and now to hear those words is like a blanket that covers over me.

Praise God for His faithfulness. Even if we feel alone, He is with us. Even when we forget He is with us…He is with us. What a great and Awesome God. How great is your faithfulness toward us.

Please listen to the sermon below and be encouraged.
